• Ematic™ Lubrication System – The STIHL® Ematic™ guide bar, when used with STIHL® OILOMATIC® saw chain, provides proper lubrication and reduced oil consumption compared to conventional methods. Two strategically placed ramps in the guide bar rail help contain and direct oil to the sliding faces of the bar and chain links, as well as the rivets and driver holes—reducing bar oil consumption by up to 50%.

It uses clean air from the filter to regulate fuel flow—unlike typical carburetors that use air from the “dirty” side.
• STIHL® Quickstop® – The STIHL® Quickstop® chain brake system is designed to reduce injury risk in kickback situations. It stops chain rotation when activated by the operator’s hand or by inertia during a strong kickback—halting the chain in fractions of a second.
